Design description
KOP D is an expressive ceiling plafond that fits into the modern, graphic approach to form and light. Despite its considerable size, the lamp retains its lightness thanks to its spherical glass shades and geometric arm arrangement. It's a fixture that not only illuminates, but also organizes the space - both visually and functionally. Its form is reminiscent of a contemporary interpretation of a planetary system: the glass spheres seem to revolve around an axis, creating a composition full of rhythm and balance.
Lamp components and functionality
The KOP D plafond consists of four glass shades with a diameter of 20 cm, made of milk-white glass, which diffuses light evenly and directly. The lampshades are arranged symmetrically on the horizontal axis of the structure, attached to the ceiling by two slender brackets and a base painted in black (Jet Black RAL 9005) or white (RAL 9003).
The lamp has four E27 fixtures (max 4x15W LED), so you can freely choose the color and intensity of the light - from warm and moody to brighter, more functional. The entire fixture is made of lacquered metal and glass.
The dimensions of the luminaire: 120 cm in length, 42 cm in width and 42,3 cm in height. Thanks to these proportions, KOP D is perfect for larger rooms, such as a living room, dining room or office space.
Application and IP20 / IP44 protection class
The KOP D lamp is available in two waterproofing options - IP20 (for dry rooms) and IP44 (for interiors with higher humidity, such as bathrooms, outside direct water exposure zones).
It's an ideal choice for those who want to build a coherent light fixture in the interior - the plafond blends perfectly with other lamps from the KOP collection: wall lamps KOP A, KOP B, KOP C and KOP F, and the KOP E pendant lamp. Together they form a balanced, modern whole - whether you want atmospheric lighting for your relaxation area or precise light over the table.
Handmade and unique character
Each lamp is assembled by hand to order, with the utmost attention to detail - this is a product created with the individual viewer in mind, not mass production. Its finish is a testament to its quality and approach to design, where every element matters.
It is distinguished by:
- A harmonious composition of four large glass spheres.
- A sprawling form that works well in spacious interiors.
- Handcrafted and precise finish in black (Jet Black RAL 9005) or white (RAL 9003).
- Choice of IP20 or IP44 variants.
- Part of the cohesive KOP collection - ideal for juxtaposition with other models.

Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
