Other finishes
The Gladio collection includes hanging lamps in classic shades: black and white. Metal elements of lighting in this series are varnished with structural paint and “strung” on a cable in a polyester braid. The whole is crowned with a matte glass lampshade, characteristic of the UMMO brand.
Monochrome Gladio lamps are simply created for minimalist spaces, but they will also be perfect for a living room or bedroom in a modern, scandi or even boho style. In short: Gladio lighting will conquer more than one interior. After all, "gladio" is Latin for "sword" :)

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
