Design description
The SENKEI B lamp is a proposition where contemporary minimalism meets a futuristic aesthetic inspired by the modernist era. Its flat, stretched silhouette recalls the dynamic rooflines of mid-20th century modernist villas - such as those designed by Le Corbusier - where geometry was subordinated to light, function and harmony of space. The form of the lamp, seemingly simple, is a conscious nod to the architectural rigor and technological optimism of an era that valued structural clarity on the one hand, and dreamed of a future of interplanetary travel on the other.
The name "Senkei" derives from the Japanese language and means "lines" or "contours" - which perfectly captures the essence of this luminaire: a precisely guided form, devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, yet carrying a strong, expressive visual message.
Lamp components and functionality
The body of the lamp is made of metal in colors from the UMMO palette: white RAL 9003, black RAL 9005, red-orange RAL 2002, olive RAL 6013, which gives it a modern and universal character. The lamp is equipped with an integrated 24W LED light source, available in two color temperatures: 3000K or 4000K. This allows you to customize the lighting according to your individual needs and preferences. The dimensions of the lamp are: 118.4 x 15.4 x 5 cm. It is suspended on thin steel cables, which further emphasizes its light and fine character. The total length of the suspension is 150 cm, which allows it to be used in various spaces.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
