Design description
FLUMINA W, a wall sconce from the FLUMINA collection, draws its name from the Latin word "flumina," meaning streams - and that's exactly how it works: smoothly, calmly and precisely distributing light in space. Its form is a nod to the geometric modernism of the International Current and Bauhaus aesthetics, in which function goes hand in hand with form, and every detail has its justification.
The minimalist, vertical composition is based on the juxtaposition of fluted glass and natural wood, which together build rhythm and contrast: the transparent, delicately textured surface of the glass subtly filters light, while the warmth of the wood brings balance and calm to the interior.
Lamp components and functionality
The main component of the wall sconce is a glass shade with vertical fluting, which adds texture to the light and softens its propagation along the wall. It is complemented by a wooden element - not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing, providing a counterpoint to the cool glass. The dimensions of the kyquette are 11.3 x 20.5 x 19 cm.
The lamp is equipped with an interchangeable LED E14 light source (up to 9W), which allows the user to select the color and intensity of light according to the purpose of the space - from moody evening light in the bedroom to gentle illumination of the transition zone in the hallway or corridor.
Application and IP20 protection class
FLUMINA W is designed for use inside dry spaces such as bedrooms, living rooms, lobbies and offices. Its IP20 protection class means that it is not suitable for conditions of increased humidity, so it should not be installed in bathrooms or kitchens near water sources or in outdoor spaces. In residential and commercial spaces with standard and stable microclimates, it will be perfect as a source of auxiliary, atmosphere-building light.
The Flumina wall lamp blends well with a standing lamp and a pendant lamp from the same series, creating a cohesive, modern lighting set. Such a combination allows to maintain visual continuity in the space, combining ceiling, table and wall lighting into one harmonious composition.

Each FLUMINA W is created through a process of hand-assembling a custom-made product. It is not a mass product from a production line - it is a piece of home furnishings that consciously combines aesthetics, quality and function. The artisanal nature of the workmanship means that each wall lamp has its own unique feature and soul.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
