Design description
Luoti is the essence of minimalist design encapsulated in two shapes: a sphere and an inverted cup. The design is based on a simple yet expressive contrast - a light, milky white sphere of delicate glass is suspended just below a more massive metal element in the form of an inverted cup. The lamp looks as if it is delicately balancing on the edge of gravity - simple, but not obvious. This visual "rotation" with respect to a table lamp from the same series gives the whole thing the impression of movement, despite its static form. The geometric, graphic character of the Luoti lamp fits perfectly into the aesthetics of modern, consciously designed interiors.
Lamp components and functionality
The Luoti lamp is constructed of a powder-coated metal body and a glass shade in a milky finish. The delicate sphere (⌀15 cm) contrasts with the solid cylindrical fixture, creating a cohesive, modern duo. The whole is suspended from a polyester braided cord (98.5 cm). The light source is an interchangeable LED bulb with a G9 cap (max 12W), which allows you to easily adjust the intensity of the lighting as needed.
Application and protection class IP20 / IP44
Thanks to the two available waterproof classes (IP20 and IP44), Luoti is perfect for both classic living spaces and areas exposed to moisture - for example, in the bathroom over the mirror. Its compact dimensions (height 29 cm, width 15 cm) make it suitable for solo or in multipoint arrangements, such as over a kitchen island or dressing table.

Like every lamp in the UMMO collection, Luoti is made by hand - with attention to detail and with the user in mind, who values quality, form and durability. It is a local product, created with passion and respect for craftsmanship. Each piece may vary slightly in finish - proof of authenticity, not imperfection.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
