Design description

KOBAN B is a minimalist pendant lamp with a distinctive yet subtle form. Its character is built by a single spherical lampshade made of milky white glass, whose diameter of 20 cm makes it the focal point of the composition. The matte glass gently diffuses the light, bringing a soft and even glow to the interior. The simple frame and metal ceiling bezel emphasize the functional, streamlined nature of the luminaire, fitting perfectly into the aesthetics of modern, japanese or loft spaces.

Although KOBAN B is distinguished by its distinctive shape, it does not dominate the arrangement - on the contrary, it harmoniously complements it, giving the interior a calm rhythm and luminous lightness.

Imagine an indoor cycling track in the shape of an ellipse, and on it speeding glass balls, instead of bicycles. Now imagine two small children's hands, interested in all the commotion on the track. Suddenly one ball disappeared, another was stopped, another appeared, but in a different size. Lots of fun, laughter, ideas and possibilities. It was children's play that inspired us to create the Koban series of lamps.

In the KOBAN B design, this youthful energy was translated into the language of light: the metal frame and glass here get a new narrative - full of order on the one hand, and bold in its simplicity on the other. The lamp catches the eye with its elliptical composition and spherical shade, introducing not only light into the space, but also a pinch of inner freedom. Because when decorating a living space, it is worth listening to the voice of your inner child.

Lamp components and functionality

The lamp is equipped with a 100 cm long black polyester braided cable and a metal round ceiling bezel. Its total height is 150 cm, and the fixture itself measures 40 cm in length and 28 cm in width. The lampshade is made of white glass with a diameter of 20 cm. Inside there is a holder for an E27 type light source (LED, maximum 15W), which allows the user to choose the intensity and color temperature according to the needs of the space.

Application and protection class IP20 / IP44

KOBAN B comes in two versions of waterproofing: standard IP20, intended for dry, sheltered spaces, and IP44, which also allows installation in areas with higher humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. This makes the lamp suitable for both domestic living spaces - over a table, countertop or in a bedroom - and more demanding lighting conditions.

KOBAN B is part of the larger Koban collection, which also includes other lighting variants: wall lamps KOBAN D and E, as well as two other pendant lamps - KOBAN A and KOBAN C - and a table model KOBAN ST. Together, they form a complete, aesthetically coherent set that allows you to illuminate the entire interior in a uniform style - from functional points of light to atmospheric, decorative accents.

Its form, although simple, exudes tranquility, precision and refined design - a proposal for those who appreciate not only functionality, but also beauty and durability in everyday objects.
