Design description
KOBAN C is a pendant ceiling lamp, which with its elliptical composition with two glass spheres creates a striking but still subtle form. Its modern character is built by two milk-white glass shades with diameters of 15 and 20 cm, suspended at different heights - as if moving in a sensual dance of light. Their spherical shape and gently matte finish disperse the light evenly, bringing a soft, friendly atmosphere to the interior.
The lamp clearly refers to the idea of balance and dynamics - its arrangement resembles a snapshot of a child's play: several balls in motion, different sizes, different speeds, but one common story. It was this playfulness that inspired the KOBAN collection. KOBAN C translates this joy and freedom into the language of light and geometry, creating a fixture that is both functional and emotional.
Lamp components and functionality
The lamp is equipped with two G9-type light sources (max 2x12W LED), which ensures optimal illumination while maintaining compact dimensions. The lampshades are made of white frosted glass - the larger one with a diameter of 20 cm, the smaller one - 15 cm. The luminaire is suspended from a 60 cm long polyester braided cable, ending in a metal ceiling bezel with a diameter of 12 cm. The total length of the lamp is 130 cm, of which the luminaire itself - 70 cm high, 28 cm long and 20 cm wide.
KOBAN C looks best solo over a small table, kitchen island or as part of a group - for example, in a rhythmic row over a long countertop.
Application and protection class IP20 / IP44.
The lamp is available in two versions of waterproofing:
- IP20 - for standard, dry interiors, such as living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms,
- IP44 - suitable for installation in rooms with higher humidity, such as bathrooms, kitchens or areas near sinks.
This makes KOBAN C a versatile option for different types of spaces - domestic and commercial - offering elegance and safety for use as needed.
KOBAN C is one of the models within the KOBAN collection, which also includes pendant lamps (KOBAN A and B), wall lamps (KOBAN D and E) and the KOBAN ST table lamp. Together, they form a cohesive set that allows you to harmoniously arrange the entire interior, maintaining consistency of style and workmanship.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
