Design description
KOBAN ST is a table lamp from the KOBAN collection, which develops minimalist ideas towards lightness and subtle elegance. Its distinctive spherical shade of frosted, milky white glass with a diameter of 20 cm harmoniously harmonizes with the metal elliptical frame and base finished in a matte, structured coating. The whole creates a coherent form that gently diffuses light, giving the interior a cozy, moody atmosphere.
KOBAN ST was inspired by children's play and freedom, translated into the language of light and shapes. Imagine an indoor cycling track in the shape of an ellipse, on which glass balls of various sizes are speeding, and next to it two children's hands that are curiously following their movement. This energy, spontaneity and joy became the impetus for the design of the KOBAN series.
The ellipse-shaped metal frame and matte spherical lampshade are arranged with lightness and boldness, attracting the eye and adding character to the interior. KOBAN ST combines functionality with artistic simplicity, bringing harmony, aesthetics and comfort to modern spaces.
Lamp components and functionality
The lamp is made of metal and glass, with a matte, structured lacquer coating. The lampshade with a diameter of 20 cm diffuses light softly and evenly, creating a cozy atmosphere.
It comes with a 150 cm long white polyester braided cord with an on/off switch and plug. The lamp is equipped with an E27 thread, supporting LED light sources up to 15W.
Its dimensions are 28 cm long, 20 cm wide and 54 cm high, making it ideal for bedside tables, consoles or desks.
Application and IP20 protection class
With an IP20 waterproof class, the KOBAN ST table lamp is suitable for dry interiors such as bedrooms, living rooms, studies or offices. Its subtle, soft light and elegant form are perfect for both private spaces and commercial places - cafes, boutiques or hotel lobbies. KOBAN ST combines functionality with aesthetics, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
