Design Description
ROKKE WOOD is a wall lamp that represents a dialogue between the heritage of modernist architecture and a fresh look at contemporary design. Its elongated, oval shape is inspired by the simplicity and functionality of pre-war urban concepts of Gdynia, where aesthetics were subordinated to the logic of form. In this version finished in natural wood, the fixture gains an organic tone - light softly reflects off its surface, creating a pleasant, nuanced play of chiaroscuro.
The name ROKKE refers to the Norwegian word for stingray - a sea creature whose movement and form are the source of visual inspiration for this luminaire. The lamp's softly splayed body, with gently sloping lines, evokes the fluid, organic movement of a stingray gliding just above the ocean floor. This subtle motif of nature has been translated into the language of modern design - where streamlined form meets geometric discipline. ROKKE is a lamp with a distinct character, which brings into the interior not only light, but also a sense of fluidity and tranquility.
Lamp components and functionality
The body of the lamp is covered with natural wood veneer, which gives it a warm and cozy character. A decorative metal element in a color from the UMMO palette adds a modern touch and subtle contrast to the lamp.
ROKKE is equipped with two LED light sources with a G9 thread, each with a power of up to 12W, which allows you to adjust the intensity of lighting to your individual needs. The dimensions of the lamp are: 3,8 x 21 x 56,6 cm. These proportions make the lamp look slim and elegant even in a limited space.
Application and IP20 protection class
Thanks to its IP20 rating, ROKKE is ideal for dry areas such as living rooms, bedrooms and corridors. It can serve as accent or auxiliary lighting, adding elegance and modernity to an interior.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
