Design Description
ROKKE is a wall sconce that combines the essence of modernist architecture with a contemporary approach to design. Its geometric, elongated form evokes the clean lines of modernist urban planning—where form was meant to be, above all, functional. However, thanks to the use of a smooth, metal shade, the lamp takes on a contemporary character, introducing subtle interplay of light and shadow that add depth and dynamism to its appearance.
The name “ROKKE” can be interpreted as a combination of the words “rock” and “ke” (the Japanese word for “home”), reflecting both the lamp’s sturdy construction and its homey character.
Lamp Components and Functionality
The lamp body is made of stainless steel. Each lamp is equipped with a decorative rod in modern UMMO colors (white RAL 9003, yellow RAL 1016, melon RAL 1028, pink, red-orange RAL 2002, burgundy RAL 3004, navy blue RAL 5003, blue RAL 5014, olive RAL 6013, black RAL 9005, beige, stainless steel), which emphasizes its minimalist form.
ROKKE is equipped with two G9-threaded LED light sources, each with a power rating of up to 12W, allowing you to adjust the lighting intensity to your individual needs. The lamp’s dimensions are 3.8 x 21 x 56.6 cm. These proportions give the lamp a sleek and elegant appearance, even in limited spaces.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
