Design Description
The YOTTSU W B wall lamp is a sophisticated interpretation of minimalist design, inspired by the aesthetics of Italian design of the 1990s. Its slender, vertical form brings a sense of harmony and balance to the interior. The characteristic clearance in the body of the lampshade gives the structure a visual lightness, breaking the uniformity of the form and adding to its dynamic character. The colors of the luminaire are the wide palette of the UMMO brand: white RAL 9003, black RAL 9005, melon RAL 1028, blue RAL 5014.
Attention is also attracted by the carefully designed strip masking the light source, which has not only an aesthetic function, organizing the line of the luminaire and giving it visual purity, but above all practical - it effectively prevents the effect of glare. In addition, subtle side notches in the design allow the light to gently flow onto the wall, creating a soft, ambient background. It's a thoughtful solution that underscores the attention to user comfort and light quality - one of the hallmarks of UMMO's designs.
Lamp components and functionality
The lamp is made of high-quality powder-coated steel, which ensures durability and an aesthetic finish. It is equipped with an integrated LED light source of 17W (CRI 90), available in two color temperatures - 3000K or 4000K - allowing to customize the interior atmosphere.
The lamp's slender form, measuring 10.5 x 25 x 103 cm, that it will be perfect as accent lighting in various spaces.
The name YOTTSU comes from the Japanese language and means the number four - one of the basic terms used in everyday, material contexts, such as for counting objects. In the case of this fixture, this meaning takes on symbolic depth. The starting point for the name was the four-leaf clover - a symbol of happiness, harmony and rarity. Its uniqueness and natural symmetry became the inspiration for a lamp that not only illuminates a space, but also organizes it visually. The four leaves of the clover can be read as the metaphorical pillars of the design: light, form, function and emotion - values that make up the essence of YOTTSU.
In this view, the lamp becomes the focal point of the space, which does not impose itself, but orders the surroundings with its presence. Its streamlined but distinctive form acts as a luminous compass - a quiet guide around which everyday life can unfold. It is a luminaire designed with balance, orientation and intuitive elegance in mind, which fits in with conscious interior architecture.

With an IP20 rating, YOTTSU W B is designed for use in dry areas such as living rooms, dining rooms, corridors, hotels, restaurants or office spaces. Its geometric form and subtle details make it a perfect match for interiors decorated in minimalist, Scandinavian or Japanese style.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
