Design description
BORRA ST is a compact table lamp that impresses with its sensuous form and finely crafted details. Like the entire BORRA collection, the ST model is also based on the expressive contrast of stark geometry and subtle light. Inspired by the Swedish borra - meaning "to drill" - screws into one's attention from the first glance and stays for a long time, fitting in with the aesthetics of modern yet timeless spaces.
The milky white, spherical lampshade with a diameter of 15 cm rests on a brushed, lacquered brass disk, which gently reflects the light and gives the lamp an elegant, luxurious character. The whole is crowned by a low black base with a structured finish, adding a graphic lightness to the lamp.
Lamp components and functionality
BORRA ST is not only a beautiful form, but also a practical source of auxiliary light. Ideal for placing on a bedside table, dresser, desk or console - wherever you need soft mood-building light.
The lamp comes with a black braided textile cord (150 cm long) with a discreet black switch and plug - ready to use as soon as plugged in.
The replaceable G9 LED light source (max 12W) guarantees energy efficiency and long life, and the IP20 protection class allows safe use in dry areas.
Application and IP20 waterproof class
BORRA ST is perfectly suited for luxury private interiors and commercial projects: living rooms, bedrooms, boutiques, reception areas, relaxation areas or hotel rooms. Its geometric simplicity and refined finishes make it a versatile addition to modern, japanese, contemporary or minimalist style interiors.
The lamp is IP20-rated, which means that it is intended for use only in dry interiors, without contact with moisture - making it perfect for living spaces, relaxation areas or offices.
BORRA ST belongs to a larger family of lighting - you can juxtapose it with the BORRA A wall lamp, the BORRA B pendant lamp or its multipoint variants (BORRA B 3L, BORRA B 3P), creating a coherent light narrative in the interior.
Handmade and unique character
Like every lamp in the BORRA collection, the ST model is made with the utmost care and assembled by hand. The lacquered brass does not patina - it retains its original satin sheen over the years. The structured black of the base emphasizes its nobility and gives the whole an elegant depth.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
