Design description
BORRA B is a pendant lamp from the BORRA collection by UMMO - a collection that, true to its name, drills into your memory and interior, staying there for years. Its expressive form is based on the juxtaposition of a milky white glass shade with a powder-coated metal disk - the duo is eye-catching, but does not dominate the space.
Geometric, elegant and consciously minimalist, BORRA B fits perfectly into the "UMMO deluxe" aesthetic - its details are refined, proportions are thoughtful, and materials are durable and carefully selected. Metal finishes give the whole a contemporary, architectural character and emphasize the functional aspect of the luminaire.
This is a lamp that combines the aesthetics of modern design with a subtle reference to the classics. It will work well wherever light is to be not only a function, but also a compositional element of the interior.
Lamp components and functionality
The central element of the composition is a milky white glass lampshade with a diameter of 15 cm. It gently diffuses the light, creating a pleasant and even glow. The lampshade is set on a metal disk with a diameter of 20 cm, which not only enriches the form visually, but also directs the light downward and to the sides.
The whole is complemented by an 8 cm diameter headliner with a decorative detail (⌀10 cm) made of the same metal, and an 84.6 cm long polyester braided cable. The maximum height of the lamp is 130 cm, making it ideal for mounting over a table, countertop or in an open space.
The light source is an interchangeable G9 LED module with a maximum output of 12 W, allowing individual selection of light color and intensity - according to the function of the room.
Application and protection class IP20 / IP44
BORRA B was designed for modern, elegant interiors - both private and commercial. The IP20-rated version will be perfect for living rooms, dining rooms, halls or relaxation spaces. The IP44 variant allows safe installation also in areas exposed to moisture - for example, in bathrooms, over the sink or bathtub (in an appropriately selected zone).
The presence of the lamp emphasizes the character of the interior without overwhelming it - it is a light that harmoniously complements the space.
BORRA B is part of a larger collection - together with the wall lamp BORRA A and the table lamp BORRA ST, it creates a coherent lighting set for lovers of consistent aesthetics and functional solutions.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
