The MALUMI A Acoustic lamp is a combination of applied art, functional lighting, and the deliberate shaping of interior acoustics. Its name, inspired by the word “malumi,” which means “sailor” in Tamil, evokes travel, discovery, and the search for new forms. The lamp’s design draws on the Memphis movement, known for its bold approach to color, geometry, and form, while maintaining modernist simplicity and functionality.

MALUMI A Acoustic features the collection’s signature flat-oval, geometric shade, whose form was designed to maintain a balance between proportion and expressiveness. In this version, the classic character of the geometric form is enhanced with an acoustic function. The use of acoustic felt allows the lamp’s decorative form to be combined with a solution that supports the acoustic comfort of the interior.

MALUMI A Acoustic was designed as a pendant lamp with a compact, horizontal form.
