Design description
Caponio ST is for those who expect more than function from light - they want mood, personality and aesthetic balance. This table model is a continuation of the well-known and acclaimed Caponio collection - while maintaining its key DNA: modernistic form inspired by Italian design and perfect detailing, where the lampshade is inspired by the shape of a hat. It combines modernity with classicism and exudes lightness.
Lamp components and functionality
The metal lampshade with a soft, rounded form comes in the colors: red-orange RAL 2002, black RAL 9005, white RAL 9003, olive RAL 6013, blue RAL 5014. It is set on a slender, minimalist metal base.
The lamp consists of two carefully selected components - a milky white glass shade and a metal lampshade with a rounded, subtly expanding shape, which is reminiscent of classic lamp forms of the mid-20th century. The two components work together aesthetically and functionally - the glass shade softly diffuses the light, giving the space a warm, cozy character, while the metal lampshade provides a modern counterpoint to this gentleness, giving the whole a distinct form. The height of the metal lampshade relative to the shade can be adjusted, allowing you to subtly influence the appearance and character of the light distribution - more focused or more open, depending on your design needs. The dimensions of the lamp are 28 x 28 x 34.3 cm.
Caponio ST has an interchangeable light source (E27 LED, up to 15W), which gives you full freedom to choose the color and power of the lighting - from a warm, relaxing glow to a cool and functional light. This allows you to fully adapt it to the climate of the interior and to your needs.
Application and IP20 protection class
This is a lamp that will find a perfect place on a bedside table, desk, dresser, console or coffee table. It can function as a mood light, auxiliary or accent light - always classy.
Caponio ST is designed for safe use in dry, domestic spaces. Its IP20 protection rating means the lamp is suitable for interiors where there is no direct moisture or contact with water. It's ideal for rooms where the light is not only to be functional, but also to create a mood - without the need for additional protection from the elements. It is worth remembering that Caponio ST is not intended for use in bathrooms, kitchens (near the sink) or outdoors, where moisture levels could affect its performance.
The Caponio table lamp goes well with the pendant lamp and wall lamp from the same series, creating a cohesive, modern lighting set. This combination allows you to maintain visual continuity in the space, combining ceiling, table and wall lighting into one harmonious composition.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
