Design description
Caponio W A is a wall lamp created with subtlety in mind - it does not dominate a space, but gently defines it. Its compact yet expressive form fits perfectly into modern and classic interiors, introducing light that emphasizes the rhythm of the space rather than disrupting it.
Lamp components and functionality
The design is based on the proven aesthetics of the Caponio series: with a minimalist metal lampshade in the shape of a hat. The lamp is offered in RAL 2002 red-orange, RAL 9005 black, RAL 9003 white, RAL 6013 olive, RAL 5014 blue, in combination with milk glass. The shape is inspired by Italian design from the 1960s - functional, but with a touch of poetic softness of modernism. The glass shade gently diffuses light, bringing a warm, friendly mood to the interior, while the metal lampshade - which serves not only an aesthetic but also a shielding function - adds elegance and modern expression to the design. The dimensions of the luminaire are 10.5 x 28 x 28 cm.
Caponio W A has an interchangeable light source (G9 LED, up to 12 W), which gives you full freedom to choose the color and power of the lighting - from a warm, relaxing glow to cool and functional light. This allows you to fully adapt it to the climate of the interior and to your needs.
Application and IP20 rating
It is an excellent choice for bedrooms (on either side of the bed), narrow corridors, office spaces or over the relaxation area in the living room. The wall lamp doesn't take up much space, but it sets the tone for the whole - with light, line and color.
In the case of the Caponio W A wall lamp, the IP20 protection class informs that the luminaire will be great in typically dry areas. Its housing is protected against accidental contact and larger particles, but it does not protect against moisture or water. That's why Caponio W A should not be installed in bathrooms, near sinks, bathtubs or showers, or in outdoor spaces such as a terrace or balcony. It's a wall lamp for indoor use - where aesthetics, proportion and soft light play a primary role.
The Caponio wall lamp goes well with a standing lamp and a pendant lamp from the same series, creating a cohesive, modern lighting set. Such a combination allows to maintain visual continuity in the space, combining ceiling, table and wall lighting into one harmonious composition.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
