Design description
The KUUL D1 wall lamp is a functional and elegant version of the classic wall lamp from the KUUL series - enriched with a discreet switch, which adds to its practicality. Its form is based on a contrasting juxtaposition of a spherical, milky-white lampshade with a structurally finished metal mount. With a diameter of 15 cm, the lampshade is reminiscent of a snow globe - hence the inspiration for the entire collection.
Three color versions - classic white (RAL 9003), deep black (RAL 9005) and elegant burgundy (RAL 3004) - make KUUL D1 a perfect match for both minimalist and more expressive arrangements.
Lamp components and functionality
KUUL D1 is a compact wall lamp measuring 17.5 × 15 × 26.5 cm. The most important visual and functional component is the spherical glass shade (Ø15 cm), which diffuses light evenly and softly, without glare.
An on/off switch on the housing allows you to control the lamp independently, making it an ideal choice, for example, as lighting by the bed, in the hallway or in relaxation areas. Inside there is an interchangeable G9 light source (LED max 12W), which gives you the freedom to personalize the color and intensity of the light.
The lamp's construction is based on a solid metal mount, powder-coated in black, white or burgundy - all with a distinctive matte structured finish.
Application and IP20 protection class
The KUUL D1 comes exclusively in an IP20-rated version, which means it has been designed for indoor use in dry spaces. It will work well in a bedroom, hallway, living room, as well as in commercial spaces such as hotels and offices.
Thanks to the presence of an on/off switch and its compact form, it can function as a standalone light source or as part of a larger lighting system based on the KUUL collection.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
