Design description
RIFLO W C is a wall lamp that combines the essence of modernist architecture with a modern approach to design. Its elongated, oval form recalls the plan of buildings from the Bauhaus era, where simplicity and functionality were key. However, the use of fluted glass gives the lamp a contemporary feel, introducing subtle refractions of light and shadow that add depth and dynamism.
RIFLO W C is a wall sconce that draws on the traditions of modern architecture, but its geometric, elongated shape brings to mind the clear lines of modernist urban design - those in which form was to be primarily useful. This version, however, adds an element of surprise: gently fluted glass adds depth to the structure, softening its technical character and introducing a chiaroscuro detail that subtly enlivens the surface.
The name RIFLO can be read as an echo of the word "riffle" - a reference to the rhythmic embossing that occurs on the surface of the glass, and at the same time to the fluidity of the composition. This model interprets classic Bauhaus values through the lens of contemporary needs - as functional as it is expressive.
The name "RIFLO" can be interpreted as a combination of the words "riffle" and "flow," reflecting both the structure of the shade and the fluidity of the lamp's form.
Lamp components and functionality
The body is made of powder-coated metal in RAL 6013 olive green, RAL 9003 white or RAL 9005 black, which emphasizes its minimalist but modern form. The front of the lamp is shielded by transparent, vertically fluted glass, which subtly diffuses the light, giving it a pleasant softness.
RIFLO W C is equipped with an integrated LED light source of 3W, available in two light color variants - 3000K (warm) or 4000K (neutral), and an additional adjustable reflector of 2.1W - discreet, but extremely practical. Thanks to it, the light can be directed precisely where it is most needed: on a book, a painting, a bedside table or a decorative detail. It is possible to control the light sources independently - the user can run only a spotlight, choose only ambient lighting, or combine both functions into a full, multi-layered light. Three separate light scenarios allow you to precisely adjust the mood of the interior to your current needs - from evening focus, to gentle illumination of the zone, to overall illumination with a clear accent.This configuration makes the lamp suitable both as a gentle background lighting and a functional spotlight accent. The dimensions of the lamp are: 4.3 x 15.6 x 43.5 cm. These proportions make the lamp look slim and elegant even in a limited space.

Thanks to its IP20 rating, the RIFLO W C is ideal for dry areas such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. It can serve as accent or auxiliary lighting, adding elegance and modernity to the interior. The additional reflector makes it perfect as a bedside light.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
