Design description
RIFLO W B is a wall lamp that combines the essence of modernist architecture with a modern approach to design. Its elongated, oval form recalls the plan of buildings from the Bauhaus era, where simplicity and functionality were key. However, the use of fluted glass gives the lamp a contemporary feel, introducing subtle refractions of light and shadow that add depth and dynamism.
The name "RIFLO" can be interpreted as a combination of the words "riffle" and "flow," reflecting both the structure of the shade and the fluidity of the lamp's form.
Lamp components and functionality
The lamp is made of powder-coated metal in the colors olive RAL 6013, white RAL 9003 or black RAL 9005. The front of the lamp is precisely fluted glass - transparent but structural, giving the light directionality and softness at the same time.
RIFLO W B is equipped with an integrated 4.8W LED light source, available in two light color options - 3000K (warm) or 4000K (neutral). The dimensions of the lamp are: 4.3 x 15.6 x 48.8 cm and is the larger counterpart of its sister model Riflo W A. These proportions make the lamp look slim and elegant even in a limited space.

Designed by
Michał Markiewicz
Designer, interior architect, co-founder and main creator of the UMMO Lighting brand. He comes from Gdansk, Poland, where he developed a passion for design from an early age. Even as a child he created lamps from available materials, rearranging lampshades and experimenting with form. Over time, he naturally gravitated towards interior design and industrial design, combining functionality with aesthetics in his own way.
He graduated with a degree in Interior Design, and also gained experience as a jewelry and furniture designer. Today he focuses on lighting, which he treats as “jewelry of the interior.” - It not only complements the space, but becomes its focal point. He draws inspiration from everyday life: forms, textures and shapes present in the environment.
His creative process involves a journey from sketch to prototype and final product, with functionality being paramount - each lamp must not only catch the eye, but also shine well. Michał's designs are dominated by recyclable materials: metal, glass, wood. UMMO's style is recognizable for its distinctive form and color, as well as its attention to quality and timelessness.
For Michał, local production and sustainable design are particularly important to minimize environmental impact and promote conscious design. UMMO Lighting is a brand that, through his vision, combines aesthetics with responsibility and craftsmanship with modernity.
